Roleplay Sample: Evander joined in with Sinclair at his combination growl and groan... It was just so dismal outside, and he had no interest in playing right now. Maybe he could weasel his way out of it, and find his lord father somewhere-- he enjoyed little more than listening to his father speak or tell stories. He was broken from his thoughts as Serana cried out, and his ears flattened back in annoyance. Ugh, she was such a pain! He jumped slightly at mother's sudden movement, and watched with wide eyed confusion as she dashed off, proclaiming Sinclair 'it'. Well what on earth did that mean?! It was only as he felt Sinclair's forepaw strike him in the chest that the realization dawned on him... They were supposed to tag one another-- and Sin had betrayed him! He met his brother's apologetic gaze with an icy stare and huffed, standing up and shaking himself off before setting his sights squarely on Renner and Serana. Okay, fine, so he would play-- and he would do it well. He would be lighter on his feet than his slightly larger siblings, as he was smaller and more compact. He had this in the bag, definitely!
He leapt forward, eyes locked onto Renner, although his true focus was on Serana. He would get her so good, and she wouldn't even see it coming! Just as he was gaining on his terribly egotistical elder brother, he veered off sharply and made a lightning quick (at least in puppy terms...) b-line for his sister. "There!" he cried as he swatted at her tail. "Now you can catch something harder to outrun than a silly rock!" He hated to admit that this game was actually kind of fun when he got going... But if he had his choice, he would be in the den chatting with Sinclair, or listening to his father, or-- if it were not so icky outside, perhaps even challenging Renner to a wrestling match. He knew that his brother liked to scuffle, and honestly, he found the notion interesting. Although he was smaller than his brother, he was curious to see how he could pit brains against brawn to best the cheeky boy... After swatting Serana on her stringy little tail, he simply kept going, stopping briefly beside his mother to give her an affectionate bump of his head. "Sorry for being a grump, mum. It's just yucky out, and I was hoping to talk to father... Don't take it personal," he sighed, giving a reluctant smile as he slunk off quickly after Sinclair. He would have to bust his chops before scampering off to find his father, after all.
